Annual Fund

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Hebrews 13:8
Thank you for investing in South Shore Christian Academy through an annual fund donation!
It’s our thirtieth anniversary, and we’re grateful for your participation! Because as much as SSCA has changed since its founding – new faces, new programs, new facilities upgrades – the foundation remains the same: our mission to “glorify Jesus Christ by revealing truth, imparting knowledge, stimulating spiritual growth, and developing Christian character in young men and women through a college preparatory curriculum taught by Christian teachers.” And what does “Christian character” look like? Cue our school verse, Micah 6:8 – “to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.”
As a supporter of the school, you might well ask: is it working?
SSCA is garnering widespread recognition for our work, from top ratings on Niche to our recent full accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. But ultimately, if we want to really know if we are succeeding in our mission, we have to look at the fruit of our labor: how prepared are our students to exercise Micah 6:8 leadership after they graduate – to undertake important work that advances justice, mercy, and a humble walk with God in a fallen and rapidly-changing world?
Our answer: we know that our students are prepared to exercise those Micah 6:8 leadership capacities after they graduate because they are developing and practicing those capacities now, in as many ways and contexts as possible, starting as early as possible: from lower-schoolers undertaking “world-changer projects,” to middle-schoolers launching small businesses and building robots, to high schoolers cutting DNA in a genetic engineering lab and conducting in-depth research in their senior capstone papers.
This kind of teaching is complex work undertaken by incredibly talented educators. And that work – the work that requires specialized skills, equipment, and technology – is supported and sustained by your annual fund gift.
Thank you for your partnership in this work, especially as we set the stage for the next thirty years of authentically Christian education in our region. Your donation is being stewarded well, demonstrated by class after class walking across that graduation platform ready to lead for His good and beautiful purposes. Thank you!
